  1. Oh dear Perdita!! The Country Hittys feel your pain!! This looks like something Horrid Hetty Hickory would do to us!! Are you sure that you do not have some malevolent “other” helping this giant grasshopper? We hope that
    you are able to recover from this shock. Perhaps a nice cup of chamomile tea will help.
    as always…great photos and story!! Realy enjoyed it.

  2. What a great big grass-hopper – Hope he did not scare Perdita – Insects and other garden creatures often share our flowers, but most are harmless – Great photos. !!!

  3. Oh my! Poor Perdita, what a shocking discovery in such beautiful flowers. I hope that some leaves were left over for the vase. That seems to be a very hungry grasshopper.
