Muttart Conservatory visit

Destination in Sight!

Destination in Sight!

On the recommendation of  a Quimper Hitty follower, Tansy and her host went on an expedition to the Muttart Conservatory on one of their last free weekends in Edmonton.  It was a few weeks ago now, and you can see that there were still heaps of snow outside! Hopefully snow on the ground is just a memory now, but Tansy’s host declared that if she lived in town, she would get a season pass and spent all her early mornings at the Conservatory in the winter.

There were three pyramids: Arid; Temperate; and Tropical…Tansy really enjoyed the lush tropical paradise, but divested herself of her coat as soon as she could…

A little Stroll in the Desert

After going through each exhibit three times, they found it was  too difficult to choose which they enjoyed the best. They concluded that perhaps the best part was feeling as though they had travelled to different world zones in just minutes.  It was definitely nice travelling without struggling in slush and snow…Tansy enjoyed a stroll through the beautiful desert,

Soon enough it was time to leave, but Tansy and her host were refreshed and ready to return to winter slush, snow – and coats!

  1. What a wonderful place to visit and how special for Tansy that she got to do so and experience the different climates in each pyramid. Lovely that she enjoyed herself so.

  2. I love botanical gardens and this conservatory looks just wonderful. So lovely of Tansy to share the sights and smells with us. In her orange day dress Tansy was a blossom amongst the plantings.
