La Rumeur Affamée
Across the street from the yarn shop, Constance and Rose found another delightful little shop. The middle shelves have a selection of lovely herbs, pasta, garnishes, and short and tall bottles of vinegar…
One wall of the shop has a big cooler with a range of delicious cheeses. The mice seem to appreciate the selection!

The other side of the shop has a pastry counter – Rose thinks we ought to have bought one of these Hitty-sized tarts and shared it!

All looks yummy!
I think Quebec cheese is Really Delicious!!!
I am with Rose!! Those pastries look scrumptious..in fact the whole shop is a sensory delight. Rose and Constance do have a way of finding wonderful things/. Those mice in the cheese cooler were kind of odd tho…even pretend mice are kind of icky.
I like the girls frocks by the way.
We didn’t try the pastries, but I might try using sirop d’erable in a butter tart recipe and seeing what happens! The Quimper Hitty’s cat was alarmed at the size of those cast iron mice – they are bigger that she is!
Sutton misses it’s beloved guests, both human and Hittys! Hope they come back….soon!
We loved that countryside and our amiable hosts, Constance and Rose and their human would love to return!
Oh yes, I do hope you bought one of those tarts to share!
Sadly, no, 😦 but perhaps we’ll be lucky in an experiment and make some for ourselves!
