Patience is helping with the lavender harvest this year….

Sniff

She sniffs the flowers…

Pick

…chooses which stems to pick,

Collect

Collect

…gathers armfulls of blooms out in the garden…

Sort

Sort

…and brings them inside to sort.  Most are going to hang upside down in small bunches until they are dry, but Patience has saved a couple to put in a little bouquet.

  1. wow, i had no idea how much lavender looked like grape hyacinth… i wonder if i’ve been misidentifying all these years? ours grows out of control though, so probably grape hyacinth. as usual, love to see your Hitty adventures!

  2. Patience is dressed perfectly for lavender gathering. Wonderful photos. Love the colors and I can almost smell that lavender…my favorite scent!

    • Thanks, we like the pinafore too – the pattern worked out quite well. The lavender is a little early this year – I think it was late June last year. It has been quite dry here, maybe things are advanced because of that?
