Rainy Saturday Walk

Opal and Agathe came on a weekend expedition to Mayne Island, where the weather was wet and the atmosphere autumnal.

Mossy Wall

The rain is very welcome in the dry and thirsty forest. The moss is green again and the water dripping down the rocky cliff.

This cliff was crumbly but the plants are also enjoying the trickle.

The girls are gazing at the remains of an ancient village, eroding out of this bank.

  1. Thank goodness for the sweet rains of Autumn! I had never heard the word, ‘vug’ before. Such a funny little word for such a magical phenomenon. It looks like your adventure on Mayne Island was a delight. Thank you again for all the whimsy and pleasure that your postings bring!
