Some of the Hittys are enthralled with the latest squashy hat reconfiguration… the previous very nice bonnet (#5) has been given over to Mary Ann, who is most comfortable with Plain accessories…

  1. YES! to the Hitty friends’ joint shared opinion on the nature of true and enduring friendship, so very Jane Austin-ly put, too! Are they quoting her, perhaps? Or just inspired by her? “They will always be friends, even if their opinions differ as to what constitutes good taste.”
#5 does remain a masterpiece, for those more Quaker in outlook.

    • Inspired, by I think, or at least not quoted deliberately! We’re very happy that you like Mary Ann’s Plain bonnet – she has a felted wool winter bonnet, but thinks this one will do very well for the summer farm work!

  2. My girls are now clamoring for bonnets!! They love ALL of your creations!! Thank you for the lovely photos and the great inspiration.

    • Hatting is amusing me, and keeping my thoughts directed towards spring. In winter we huddle indoors during the winter torrential rainstorms, but I do enjoy the time and opportunity to work on projects 🙂
