Tansy In LA

Ready to go

Tansy has just returned from an adventure in Los Angeles. She and her favourite photographer went to a class at the Los Angeles Center of Photography, given by Sam Abell (click here for his website).

That weekend, the city experienced its biggest storm in many years. Tansy got rather damp – having expected to go to the land of winter sunshine she did not pack a raincoat.

Tansy was grateful to be invited along on the trip. She paid attention in the photography class, learning about things like Microcomposing and framing, and using her old Lubitel 166+ Twin Lens Reflex camera, she got this great shot as a memento.

Thanks, Favourite Photographer, for taking Tansy along!

  1. I am amazed that “favorite photographer” could improve on what I have viewed as perfection already. The shots of the ocean are wonderful. My mother’s sister lives in Los Angeles ( my favorite Aunt) and the rain has been torrential and worrisome, I am glad that my Aunt and “favorite photographer” are both safe and sound.

    • We get a lot of rain in winter her, but not all at once like they did in LA last weekend! That was definitely a worrisome amount of rain – the Quimper Hittys and their human were glad when both the photographers came home safely!

  2. Loved this episode! Also all the amazing photography! Thanks for the link to Sam Abell’s work.
    Such interesting lives you lead!

  3. What an adventure…and what great photos. Tansy is such a world traveler.. I really enjoyed the photo of Tansy conversing with the odd little head embedded in the wall.
